PRN CT/Radiology Technologist

About the role

Ashe Memorial Hospital in Ashe County, NC, is hiring a part-time (PRN) Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for its Imaging Department. The technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort and high-quality results, supporting physicians and radiologists in their diagnosis and treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and clinical protocols
• Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging
• Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to support accurate diagnosis
• Provide imaging in the Emergency Department, Operating Room and at the bedside
• Maintain imaging equipment and follow quality and safety standards
• Educate patients about procedures to ease concerns

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current CPR certification
• Experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Compliance with hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening after the offer
