Private Client Insurance Business Development Executive

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency's Private Client Services - National team is looking for a Business Development Executive focused on new business in several regions. The role uses an existing network, a mid-sized list of account leads and research to win business from small, nuanced or complex potential accounts in a delegated region and/or industry.

Key responsibilities

• Complete sales calls and presentations consistently, building a large portfolio of potential accounts to meet personal target sales expectations.
• Use the existing network, account leads and research insights to generate business from potential accounts in a delegated region and/or industry.
• Conduct targeted market research using market awareness, contacts and knowledge of the competitive environment to identify and target opportunities.
• Interface regularly with internal and external senior stakeholders and help senior colleagues with advanced aspects of the deal process.
• Join professional, industry or regional organizations, attend conferences and events, and use them to grow the professional network and gain insight into specialties.

Required profile

• Broker license.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• At least five years of experience in new business development, ideally with large group insurance.
• Proven insurance industry experience with individual and group insurance products.
