Principal, Technology/Software & Private Capital

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Consumer, Telco and Technology (CTT) and Private Capital (PC) practices are hiring a Principal in Boston. The role suits highly motivated professionals with significant prior experience who want to lead client projects and complex programs, acting as trusted advisor to senior client executives. The applicable base salary range is $250,000 to $260,000, with possible performance-based incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process, sharing responsibility for the success of specific engagements with Partners.
• Lead and manage complex programs to ensure on-time delivery that meets agreed goals, using Oliver Wyman best practice, own expertise and the firm's technical competence.
• Guide and influence clients across all situations, including execution of the commercial process, and become trusted advisors.
• Identify new and expanded opportunities to build business.
• Contribute thought leadership and share knowledge across a broad range of adjacent topics.
• Develop others and build a followership, and lead firm-building activities while being a role model for firm values.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and/or CMT/TMT industry experience, and Private Capital experience.
• Expertise in commercial due diligence.
• Strong conceptual problem-solving and analytical skills, and a track record of leading teams and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to present confidently to senior executives.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
