Principal I – Scientific Education (Medical Promotional Reviewer)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Principal I in Scientific Education to join the U.S. Research & Development team in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on medical review of promotional and advertising materials to ensure they are accurate, compliant, and support safe use of Alcon eye‑care products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical review of promotional and advertising materials in line with approved labeling and regulatory standards.
• Assess scientific accuracy, clinical information, and biostatistical validity of all promotional content.
• Collaborate on concept and draft advertising materials, offering medical input early in the development process.
• Stay current with medical literature and clinical practices within assigned ophthalmic therapeutic areas.
• Deliver timely, consistent reviews to minimize approval cycles while maintaining high quality.
• Work with cross‑functional teams and the Medical Director to optimize claim effectiveness and mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 13 years, Associate + 9 years, M.S. + 2 years, PhD + 1 year).
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in medical review or related fields.
• Advanced degree in a medical specialty preferred (OD or MD‑ophthalmology).
• Extensive knowledge of ophthalmic therapeutic areas and experience in academic or medical‑device settings.
