Primary Therapist - Individual and Group Treatment

About the role

RECO Intensive is hiring a primary therapist in Delray Beach, Florida, to provide therapy for individuals with mental health disorders. The role covers assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, client education, discharge planning and referrals, all supported by accurate record keeping. It is a full-time, in-person position on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients and develop individualized treatment goals using client input, strengths, needs and preferences
• Build and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their families
• Provide ongoing therapeutic interventions to help clients overcome challenges
• Complete assessments, notes, treatment plans and other records accurately and on time; comprehensive group, individual and clinical notes within 24 hours
• Collaborate with other professionals as part of a treatment team
• Handle utilization review and ASAM documentation for insurance companies
• Keep up-to-date weekly progress notes, insurance updates and communication with outside referral sources, and attend staffing meetings
• Maintain a caseload approved by the Clinical Director and communicate daily with behavioral health staff and the discharge planner
• Keep the workspace clean and perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field (BSW) or Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Licensed as LCSW, LMHC, LPC or LCAS, or in the process of obtaining licensure
• Doctorate in Psychology or Philosophy (PsyD, PhD)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in substance abuse, mental health or behavioral health
• Punctual, professional and respectful attitude
