About the role

Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced tax preparers for a seasonal, temporary position. You will use your knowledge of tax law and customer‑service skills to help individuals file their federal and state returns in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare individual income tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent client service, answering tax‑related questions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Assist clients with document collection and filing procedures.
• Support preparation for the Enrolled Agent exam when applicable.

Required profile

• At least two tax‑season experiences preparing individual returns.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑volume setting.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new tools.
• Preferred background in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or sales.
