Pre Analytics Lead Processing Technician

About the role

The Lead Processing Technician is responsible for accessioning and manually processing laboratory specimens with high accuracy and efficiency during the evening shift (3:00 pm‑11:30 pm). This role supports quality assurance activities, routine equipment maintenance, and compliance with laboratory standards while guiding daily workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual processing tasks such as centrifugation, aliquoting, and routine equipment maintenance.
• Oversee shift operations, manage workflow issues, and adjust daily schedules as needed.
• Conduct quality‑assurance activities, including pending log audits and temperature monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance, ensure SOPs and policies are followed, and act as a resource for troubleshooting.
• Communicate issues to management and ensure smooth handover between shifts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; Associate’s Degree in Science preferred or Bachelor’s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Medical Laboratory Science.
• 2‑4 years of laboratory processing experience (or equivalent education).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb, handle bio‑hazardous materials, and work stationary for extended periods.
