Pre-Algebra Summer Institute Instructor

About the role

The TEAK Fellowship is looking for an experienced teacher to lead Pre‑Algebra instruction for rising 7th‑graders during its Summer Institute 2026. The role runs from July 1 to August 10, 2026, covering three sections of roughly fifteen students each, four days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Teach three Pre‑Algebra sections (Monday‑Thursday) to rising 7th‑graders.
• Provide classroom supervision and instruction throughout the summer term.
• Attend instructor orientation (June 29‑30) and weekly faculty meetings.
• Lead an Intensive or other extra‑duty session twice per week.
• Use Google Classroom to assign 30‑40 minutes of daily homework.
• Collect, grade, and record student homework.
• Prepare mid‑term and final grades with written comments for each student.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle‑school level.
• US citizenship or a valid work visa.
• Availability for the full July‑August schedule and related meetings.
• Ability to manage a classroom and provide constructive feedback.
