Practice Manager – Primary Care (North Miami)

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Primary Care in North Miami is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the administrative and clinical functions of the specialty practice. The manager will act as a liaison for patients, physicians, staff and external partners, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to ensure effective patient services.
• Maintain liaison with administrators, physicians, and outside organizations.
• Prepare operational and financial reports, analyze trends and make recommendations.
• Develop and enforce operating policies in line with University guidelines.
• Conduct meetings with staff to ensure compliance with established practices.
• Implement new policies and keep employees informed of changes and standards.
• Review facility usage to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Stay informed on medical technology, health‑insurance trends and government regulations.
• Ensure adherence to all program and governmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive professional relationships with all personnel.
• Conduct utilization reviews of clinical services and track plan goals.
• Establish and assess internal controls, providing training on University policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in practice or healthcare management.
• Applicable certifications as defined by the department.
• Strong knowledge of operational management, financial oversight, organizational development and team leadership.
