Power Systems Engineer III

About the role

Revamp Engineering is looking for a Power Systems Engineer III to lead studies that enable utility‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage systems to connect safely and reliably to the grid. You will independently manage multiple projects, guide junior engineers, and communicate technical trade‑offs to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and lead system studies such as protective device coordination, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, load flow, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power‑quality analyses.
• Design collection systems, including cable routing and sizing, and create equipment specifications for PV modules, inverters, BESS, transformers, and balance‑of‑system components.
• Write technical reports and deliver presentations describing study results, solutions, and value.
• Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards and codes.
• Lead multiple projects, prepare documentation, support client interactions, and mentor less‑experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; EIT or PE preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in power systems analysis, preferably with renewable energy or storage projects.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing several projects with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of power systems analysis software (ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF or similar).
• Experience with Python or similar programming languages for automation.
• Familiarity with vendor‑provided dynamic models and renewable energy system components.
