Powder Coater III - 1st Shift

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Powder Coater III for the first shift in Portage. The role prepares components, including sub-assemblies, using paints and powder operations so they can be used in a variety of products. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 4:45am to 1:15pm, with two Saturdays per month of overtime required.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare components with paints and powder operations, including sub-assemblies and related parts.
• Unload parts, part racks and hooks from the line while visually inspecting completed parts.
• Apply painting and/or powder processes according to product specifications.
• Set paint and powder equipment to the right tolerances, colour and feed rate.
• Handle work preparation, clean-up and quality assurance of your own work and work area.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, preventative maintenance and safety programs, and aim for on-time, complete and error-free shipments.
• Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, push and pull 50+ lbs throughout the shift.
• Preferred: high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience.
