Fabricator II - 3rd Shift

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Fabricator II for its Portage site, working the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday, 9:45pm to 6:15am) onsite. The role involves operating metal fabrication equipment to cut, bend, form and shape metal components to specification, following established procedures and work instructions. Pay is $21.90 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift premium, with bonus potential.

Key responsibilities

• Operate metal fabrication equipment such as punch presses, shears, rolls, power brakes and saws to cut, bend, form and shape metal components to specification.
• Produce high-quality fabricated parts using various fabrication equipment.
• Run production as a loader/unloader or on a drill press, weld nut station, saw or other basic fabrication equipment and tooling.
• Inspect work according to gage plans, with a working knowledge of the inspection equipment and troubleshooting as needed.
• Handle set-up, work preparation, fabrication, clean-up, preventative maintenance of the machine centre and quality assurance of own work and work area.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, customer service goals and quality standards while meeting production goals.
• Keep records as required under Stryker specifications and meet work schedules and overtime requirements, including weekends.

Required profile

• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: one year of manufacturing experience.
• Able to lift and carry 10-50 pounds frequently.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
