Postdoctoral Scholar – Informatics & Health Data Science

About the role

The Department of Informatics and Health Data Science at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Scholar to join the UHealth campus. The scholar will independently develop research ideas, conduct experiments, and support the training of students, residents, and fellows.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute research experiments, establishing priorities and schedules.
• Present findings at local and national scientific conferences.
• Write technical publications, reports, and grant‑supporting pilot data.
• Develop and implement programs for data analysis and generate written results.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research students and conduct literature reviews.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• MD or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Proven ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data sets.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and sound judgment for critical decisions.
