Neurophysiologist Regional Traveler (Southeast)

About the role

As a Neurophysiologist at NuVasive Clinical Services, you will provide intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) during surgeries across the Southeast United States. This field‑based position involves traveling to hospitals, setting up monitoring equipment, and delivering real‑time nervous system data to surgeons and operating‑room teams.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient medical history and consult with the surgeon on structures at risk and monitoring modalities.
• Monitor and communicate nervous system data throughout the case, displaying and labeling waveforms, latencies, amplitudes, and conduction times.
• Identify appropriate protocols, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure accurate data collection.
• Complete all required documentation, IOM logs, and timely file uploads.
• Maintain neuromonitoring equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years related experience, or an advanced degree with equivalent experience.
• Certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and eligible for medical malpractice insurance.
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet hospital privileges, physical and vaccination requirements.

Required skills

• CNIM certification.
• Knowledge of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM).
• Understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Technical troubleshooting of monitoring equipment.
• Operating Room (OR) experience.
