Postdoctoral Fellow IV

About the role

The COSMOS Research Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a full‑time, provisional Postdoctoral Fellow IV. Funded through a grant or contract, the role focuses on developing socio‑computational models to advance understanding of cyber campaigns on social media.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement socio‑computational models of group formation, activation, decentralized decision‑making, and collective action.
• Extract relevant open‑source information using guided snowball data‑collection, cyber forensics, and deep‑web search methodologies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary research team to develop predictive models of socio‑technical behavior.
• Analyze results, prepare reports, and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Maintain compliance with grant requirements and support renewal efforts.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Social Sciences, Information Science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in computational modeling, cyber forensics, or large‑scale data collection.
• Strong analytical and research skills with a record of scholarly output.
• Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
