About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Research Department is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to join Dr. Shu Feng’s lab. The position provides practical training in molecular virology and metabolic enzyme research, with a focus on antiviral mechanisms and neurodegeneration.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute independent research projects, generating and analyzing data.
  • Perform molecular biology experiments, troubleshoot protocols, and optimize procedures.
  • Record experimental results accurately and contribute to manuscript and grant preparation.

Required profile

  • PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (MD with lab experience may substitute).
  • Demonstrated commitment to research, strong written and verbal communication, and collaborative work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a research or academic setting, including graduate student work.

Required skills

  • Molecular biology techniques.
  • Data analysis and interpretation.
  • Scientific writing for manuscripts and grants.
