About the role

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus provides a dynamic, all‑RN environment where teamwork and patient safety are paramount. As a PACU RN you will care for post‑surgical patients recovering from anesthesia during an 11:00 am‑11:30 pm evening shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care and monitor patients’ conditions.
  • Implement, update, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and follow physician orders.
  • Document patient status and communicate changes to the care team.
  • Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
  • Current state RN licensure.
  • One year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
  • Ability to work evenings and on‑call rotation.

Required skills

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be presented upon hire or within first year).
