Port Services Engineer

About the role

Wilhelmsen Ships Services is looking for a Port Services Engineer to join its Houston team. In this role you will promote marine products and services, provide technical support at ports and terminals, and ensure customers receive first‑class service.

Key responsibilities

• Promote WSS products and services to current and potential customers.
• Maintain continuous contact with ports, terminals, dry docks, repair yards and ship agents to identify opportunities.
• Visit vessels as requested, assist crews with port deliveries, and conduct product demonstrations, chemical tests, inspections and installations.
• Report vessel visit outcomes, create leads, and document activities in the system.
• Gather customer feedback, report complaints, and monitor competitor activities.
• Support sales and customers during vessel transactions, including cylinder counts and new orders.

Required profile

• Medium vocational technical or marine training.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the marine industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a multinational environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
