Pool Attendant (Part Time)

About the role

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, a luxury resort in Tucson's Catalina Foothills, is looking for a part-time Pool Attendant. The team member greets guests, hosts daily recreation activities, manages equipment and cabanas, and keeps the pools, beaches, fitness areas and resort spaces safe, clean and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests at pools, beach areas, fitness centers and recreation desks, giving information on amenities, hours and programming.
• Host and support daily activities such as fitness classes, lawn games, children's crafts, movie nights and seasonal events.
• Assist with cabana and chair reservations, escort guests and set up towels, water and amenities.
• Maintain inventory of towels, supplies and recreation equipment, and report loss or damage.
• Set up, inspect and break down daily equipment, and conduct regular hazard checks.
• Monitor recreation areas for safety, capacity and cleanliness, and enforce property rules and local regulations.
• Support incident response and emergency procedures; if certified, provide basic first aid and assist lifeguards.
• Process cabana, activity and rental transactions and coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering on work orders.
• Shuttle guests by golf cart around the property, including the Silver Strand Beach Hut, which requires a valid driver's license.

Required profile

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred; recreation, fitness or resort experience a plus.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it; Lifeguard certification a plus depending on property needs.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel) and point-of-sale systems; comfort with scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of local attractions and outdoor recreation, and comfort working outdoors; multilingual ability a plus.
• Regular attendance, ability to work varying schedules, and willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
