Policy Services Representative (Hybrid)

About the role

Mapfre is hiring a Policy Services Representative in Webster, MA, working a hybrid schedule. The role sits in a collaborative, fast-paced team where accuracy, customer service and attention to detail are highly valued. You will screen, code and process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations, and provide customer service support based on an assigned agency plan.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and approve new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations, and process those that cannot be handled online by agents
• Input cancellations and reinstatements by checking loss history, coding, cancellation date and reason
• Rate and code manually backdated transactions and those not supported by the automated system
• Ensure transactions are processed accurately and on time in Mapfre and Registry systems, keeping data entry speed and quality within departmental standards
• Apply the right rates, classes and discounts and issue accurate premiums
• Contact agents to resolve application discrepancies and validate Mapfre discounts
• Review property inspections on home and dwelling fire policies to confirm dwellings are insured to value
• Support underwriters with questions and risks beyond your authority

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education, knowledge and experience
• 0 to 1 years of related experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, able to work accurately in a high-volume processing environment
