Plumber

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Plumber, responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing water, sewer, steam, and gas systems across our facilities. This onsite position supports a leading health care organization recognized for excellence and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and specifications to understand pipe layouts, drainage, and related systems.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and inspections of piping, valves, fixtures, steam, gas, and fire‑suppression systems, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Respond to trouble calls, work requests and emergency situations, documenting work in the CMMS system.
• Assist with minor electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general facility maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or Technical School Diploma in Plumbing or related trade.
• 3 years of commercial/industrial plumbing experience (or less than 1 year with a technical diploma).
• Ability to read drawings and understand water supply, waste, and venting systems.
• Strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools for measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions.
• Experience using a CMMS work‑order system to track time and tasks.
