Assistant Superintendent

About the role

Alston Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead onsite personnel and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and oversee daily onsite activities to meet project goals and timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, shop drawings and as‑built documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance with construction codes, safety and quality standards.
• Manage project set‑up including trailers, equipment, signage, PPE and other site requirements.
• Prepare accurate daily reports, safety logs and subcontractor manpower records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Commitment to safety, quality and client relationship excellence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of construction plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Familiarity with subcontractor management and scheduling.
• Understanding of construction codes, safety regulations and quality control processes.
