About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Plumber II to join its Facilities Operations team. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems across the campus, ensuring safe and reliable water services for patients, staff, and students.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain piping, fixtures, and related equipment in clinical and administrative buildings.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues, respond to emergency calls, and coordinate with other facilities staff to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate work orders, documentation, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of renovation projects that involve plumbing modifications.

Required profile

• Valid plumbing certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and safety standards.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy equipment.
• Commitment to providing high‑quality service in a healthcare environment.
