About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Plumber II to join its Facilities Operations team. This full‑time position supports the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems across the campus, ensuring reliable service for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain water, sewer, and gas piping systems in clinical and administrative buildings.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot leaks, and respond to emergency service calls.
• Collaborate with other facilities staff to coordinate shutdowns, upgrades, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and compliance with safety regulations.

Required profile

• Valid plumbing certification or equivalent experience.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work independently and follow established safety procedures.
