Plant Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Plant Manager will lead the operations of a USA Wood Door manufacturing site in the United States. Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager, the role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring product quality, and delivering continuous improvement across production, quality, EHS and materials functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing to achieve ≥98% on‑time and complete order delivery while maintaining quality standards.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve safety, reduce costs and shorten lead times.
• Manage plant capacity, production scheduling and visual production boards to prevent bottlenecks and align capacity with demand.
• Develop and coach functional leaders and staff, enforce standard operating procedures and foster a culture of accountability.
• Own the plant P&L, control cost structure, evaluate capital investments and collaborate with finance, sales and marketing.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety, environmental and quality regulations.

Required profile

• Proven track record in leading manufacturing teams and processes.
• Strong continuous‑improvement mindset with experience in Lean and Six Sigma.
• Comprehensive understanding of production, quality, EHS and materials functions.
• Ability to manage P&L and make data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
