Plant Controller – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Controller to join a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier at its manufacturing facility near Anderson, SC. The role serves as a strategic business partner to plant operations, providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control insights to plant and executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to deliver financial analysis and recommendations supporting business decisions.
• Lead plant‑level budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities.
• Analyze manufacturing performance, costs, productivity and profitability.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses covering production output, material usage, scrap, labor and operational costs.
• Support monthly and annual financial closing, develop contribution‑margin and profitability simulations.
• Identify process‑improvement, cost‑reduction and efficiency opportunities.
• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures and US GAAP.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement of financial reporting and controlling processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, plant controlling or cost accounting.
• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, production costs and manufacturing KPIs.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and internal‑control processes.
• Advanced analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.
• US GAAP knowledge.
