Planner, Social (Temp)

About the role

Horizon Next, a data-driven marketing organization offering brand strategy, media planning and investment and analytics across channels, is hiring a temporary Planner, Social in New York. The role covers campaign management, social media strategy, reporting and analysis, relationship management and mentorship, and is listed as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Campaign management (45%): lead RFP creation and review of social partners, manage buys from setup through targeting, optimization and pacing/reporting, oversee trafficking, site tagging and pixel QA, issue specs documents, and support post-campaign reconciliation and billing
• Social media strategy (10%): help build social plans, integrate social insights into planning, take part in brainstorming, monitor trends and tools, and present media plans, objectives and strategy decks
• Reporting and analysis (30%): combine data analysis and client feedback to recommend optimizations, use data to optimize campaigns and draw conclusions, collaborate with Analytics and Business Intelligence teams, and supply accurate data for dashboards and Excel trackers
• Relationship management (10%): coordinate with partners, creative agencies and other teams, keep the supervisor updated on deliverables, and use knowledge of clients' businesses to strengthen relationships
• Mentorship (5%): help train Assistant Planners and onboard new Planners

Required profile

• 1+ years of previous paid social media experience
• Strong writer and presenter, data-powered strategist, independent worker with good time management and organization
• Detail oriented, nimble in a fast-paced environment, and interested in the social landscape
• Supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of advanced analytics and performance media
• Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram is crucial; additional platforms preferred
