Assistant, Integrated Investment

About the role

Horizon Media, a marketing and advertising firm founded in 1989 and headquartered in New York City, is hiring an Assistant, Integrated Investment. The role covers media planning and buying, campaign execution, billing reconciliation, reporting and analysis, and learning and development, with a stated salary range of $40,000 to $50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Media planning and buying (15%): help create media plans, objectives and strategy decks, prepare contracts to reserve advertising space, confirm delivery details, gather rates, analyze daypart mixes and pricing, and organize documents.
• Campaign and data management and execution (40%): manage daily communication, handle schedule changes, programming details, schedule imports, ADU acceptance and trafficking requests, track deals weekly, coordinate ad trafficking and site tagging with Ad Ops, compile spec documents, and prepare post-launch proof-of-placement materials.
• Stewardship and billing reconciliation (20%): track campaign delivery, check that invoices are entered correctly, resolve billing discrepancies, reconcile after campaigns, and actualize buys monthly.
• Reporting and analysis (10%): validate data with the analytics teams, monitor campaign pacing against plans, track buy information, and produce quarterly post reports from partner MSA and delivery reports.
• Learning and development (15%): advance knowledge of the media industry, take part in the Media 101 training and other sessions, attend vendor and internal meetings, and learn about industry trends and new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work or internship experience.
• Interest in the linear and digital media landscape.
• Strong communicator, problem solver and detail-oriented person with good organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team, own their work, and thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in the advertising industry preferred.
• Comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite and proficient in math.
