Piping Field Engineer

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Piping Field Engineer to support the Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. The role involves delivering field engineering expertise for a large‑scale natural gas liquefaction and export terminal, ensuring safe and high‑quality execution of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review construction drawings, sketches, and as‑built documentation.
• Lead the development of construction schedules and design of temporary facilities.
• Initiate requisitions, perform quantity takeoffs, and manage material purchases for field activities.
• Verify commodity quantities using tracking systems and databases.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical inspection standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field engineering within large industrial or LNG projects.
• Strong knowledge of work planning, material management, and quantity verification.
• Ability to interpret and produce construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with safety and quality control procedures on construction sites.
