Pilates Instructor

About the role

Equinox is hiring Pilates instructors for its Glendale club. As a part-time instructor under the guidance of a dedicated Pilates manager, you will develop and refine your approach to programming, education and business development. Pay ranges from $45 to $62 per session, with non-session work paid at $18.47 per hour and possible bonus opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a safe, professional, comprehensive Pilates training program for each client so they reach their goals and stay motivated
• Run a complimentary initial client assessment and goal-setting session to recommend a program
• Instruct private, duet and semi-private sessions
• Build your book of business with the Pilates manager using the member base
• Complete client management administrative requirements and collaborate with other departments for a well-rounded member experience
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, keep clients active and maintain studio and equipment cleanliness
• Take part in ongoing training and development

Required profile

• Completion of a comprehensive Pilates teacher training program or certification on all Pilates apparatus (mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, Wunda chair, high or combo chair, barrels)
• A minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education through a certification program, with a valid copy of certifications provided
• Exceptional customer service skills and the physical ability to stand, sit, walk, squat, bend, reach, push, pull and safely spot and correct clients
• Legal right to work in the United States
