About the role

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is hiring a Physician Specialist Option A for the Elgin Mental Health Center in Elgin, Illinois. The physician is an Illinois-licensed internal medicine doctor who provides facility-wide care. The position is salaried, full time, with a single vacancy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive physical examinations of patients across the facility
• Provide diagnostic and treatment services
• Provide facility-wide consultation in the specialty

Required profile

• Special license: Illinois license to practice medicine in Internal Medicine
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the State does not sponsor employment visas or extend OPT for F-1 students
• Bilingual skills are welcome

What we offer

• Anticipated salary of $13,887 to $20,075 per month ($166,644 to $240,900 per year)
• Work hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute paid lunch
