About the role
The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Otolaryngology team. Working under physician supervision, the PA will assess, plan, and deliver patient care in a fast‑paced academic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, obtain health histories, and compile medical data.
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests such as x‑rays, EKGs, and laboratory work.
- Carry out minor procedures including immunizations, injections, suturing, and wound care.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, provide education, and document treatments accurately.
- Respond to calls, assist with emergency treatments, and participate in audits related to billed services.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Valid State of Florida Physician Assistant license.
- Preferred: minimum two years of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
