Physician Assistant – Medical Department

About the role

The Physician Assistant will work under the Medical Director to provide comprehensive clinical services to adult and pediatric patients. This full‑time, onsite position involves conducting histories, physical exams, and coordinating follow‑up care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform health histories, physical examinations, and specific screenings (pre‑employment, school, sports, well‑child).
• Conduct Pap smears, breast exams, and other medical procedures as needed.
• Prescribe birth‑control methods and other medications under physician supervision.
• Review laboratory and imaging results, arrange follow‑up, and document health education.
• Respond to pharmacy, physician, and patient inquiries when nursing staff are unavailable.
• Assist in staff training, provider meetings, chart review, and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nursing process and medical model.
• Ability to perform emergency resuscitation.
• Proficiency in medical diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning.
