Physical Therapist – Outpatient Ortho/Neuro PRN Float

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Green Health and Wellness Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to provide outpatient orthopedic and neurological care across multiple locations. This role involves delivering hands‑on therapy, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs for patients with orthopedic and neuro conditions.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, establish and revise plans of care, and document progress.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel during treatment sessions.
• Adapt techniques to meet each patient’s needs while ensuring safety and promoting functional recovery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate from an APTA‑accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to meet heavy‑level physical demands, including lifting, climbing stairs, and maintaining balance.
• Strong communication skills to instruct patients and collaborate with physicians and staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard physical therapy techniques for orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of patient safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
