Physical Therapist – Hourly Position

About the role

Join the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta as a Physical Therapist on a PRN basis. Provide rehabilitative services to patients in Decatur, GA, working up to 29 hours per week with an hourly rate of $55.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical condition and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer manual exercises, massage, traction, and other therapeutic modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and medical practitioners to coordinate care and adjust treatment as needed.
• Document assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes in patient records.
• Participate in health promotion programs and group activities to support patient well‑being.

Required profile

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Flexibility to work on an as‑needed schedule up to 29 hours weekly.
