Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Rehab – Lakeview

About the role

Join Ochsner Health’s Lakeview outpatient rehab team to provide routine physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will deliver direct patient care, document progress, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on healing and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Communicate and document any changes in patient status and inform the therapist for reassessment.
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in staff and committee projects and achieve productivity targets set by administration.
• Educate and train others within the discipline and adapt interactions to respect patient privacy and needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Ability to travel between facilities as needed.
