Physical Therapist – Acute Care (PRN) – Jeff Highway

About the role

As a Physical Therapist in acute care at Jeff Highway, you will evaluate in‑patients and deliver therapy programs based on physician orders, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve their functional goals and transition safely to post‑acute or home care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized inpatient physical therapy treatment plans.
• Assess patient response to therapy, modify plans as needed, and document progress according to hospital standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with documentation policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to coordinate care and determine appropriate discharge disposition.
• Adapt communication and treatment approaches to diverse patient populations while respecting privacy and consent.
• Stay current with federal, state, and accreditation regulations and uphold hospital quality and safety targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current state Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure (including reciprocity).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
