Physical Industrial Security Specialist (TS/SCI)

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968, is seeking a Physical Industrial Security Specialist for its El Segundo, California site. The role provides physical security (PS), industrial security and cybersecurity support for collateral, SCI and SAP systems in line with ICD, DODM, legacy DCID/JAFAN and other DoD guidance for facilities with internal networks and guest systems. It is a full-time, on-site position supporting industrial security requirements for SAR acquisition programs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Government security authorities in managing acquisition security programs' industrial security requirements.
• Maintain compliance with DODM, ICD or legacy DCID/JAFAN physical security and industrial security requirements while managing accreditation documentation.
• Interface with HHQ for physical and technical security (TEMPEST/TSCM) actions and procedures.
• Conduct preconstruction reviews and recommend changes to construction, expansion and modifications of facilities.
• Assist Information Assurance Managers with the implementation of cybersecurity requirements.
• Author, review and maintain facility certification and accreditation documentation.
• Identify cybersecurity and physical security vulnerabilities to ensure full ICD/DODM compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 6 years of total experience, including at least 4 years in an SCI or SAR environment.
• 2 years of relevant Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
• Ability to complete ICD-705 training (DSSA or NRO) within 6 months of hire.
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and eligibility for SAP information, plus willingness to undergo a counterintelligence polygraph.
• Willingness to travel within the organizational area of responsibility by air and ground, and to stay seated at least 50% of the time in closed-area offices.

Required skills

• Strong familiarity with security policies, manuals and governing ICD/JAFAN/DOD manuals.
• Preferred: ability to work effectively with DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners, and with minimal supervision.

• Projected compensation of $119,900 to $199,600, depending on contract wage determination, experience, skills, location and other factors.
