About the role
The Phlebotomist will join Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s General Lab team, working night shifts to collect blood specimens, process samples, and perform reference laboratory procedures for patients of all ages.
Key responsibilities
- Collect blood, perform glucose tolerance tests and blood cultures, and process specimens in the laboratory.
- Prepare, ship, and manage reference laboratory specimens using the laboratory information system.
- Monitor test orders and requisitions to ensure compliance with outpatient testing protocols.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience collecting blood from patients of all age groups.
Required skills
- Venipuncture and other blood collection techniques.
- Specimen handling and processing in a laboratory setting.
- Use of laboratory information systems for specimen tracking.
