Pharmacy Technician Inpatient – Dayshift

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient, Dayshift supports daily inpatient pharmacy operations at South Pointe Hospital. You will work within a collaborative team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists, rotating through core functions such as medication preparation, inventory management, and automated dispensing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare medications, including labeling, repacking, non‑sterile and sterile compounding.
• Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate inventories, perform cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.
• Ensure a safe, clean work area and document regulatory requirements such as temperature logs.
• Utilize information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks.
• Assist with training of pharmacy caregivers and students.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA upon hire.
• Active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
• Understanding of algebraic calculations for extemporaneous compounds.

Required skills

• Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or NHA).

• IV room support and virtual carousel operations.
