Pharmacy Technician - Community

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician – Community supports a high‑volume outpatient pharmacy on the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, processing 500–800 prescriptions daily. The role involves rotating through various pharmacy workflows to ensure accurate dispensing and excellent patient service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients at the register and operate the point‑of‑sale cash register system.
• Prepare and fill prescription orders, including extemporaneous and bulk compounding.
• Maintain and restock pharmacy inventory, monitor reorder points, and remove expiring products.
• Support multi‑pharmacy areas as needed and provide distributive pharmacy services in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA and active registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to work full‑time shifts (5 × 8 hr or 4 × 10 hr) with occasional weekend rotation.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 20 lb, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
