About the role
The Cleveland Clinic Department of Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Intern for Lutheran Hospital to gain hands‑on experience in inpatient pharmacy practice, supporting patient care through direct medication management.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assess medication orders to identify and resolve drug‑related issues.
- Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Compound and prepare medications for delivery to patient care areas.
- Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
- Communicate with physicians and other clinicians to facilitate care.
Required profile
- Current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy program meeting Ohio Intern License requirements or equivalent international qualification.
- Possession of a valid State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before hire.
