Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Lymphoma/Myeloma

About the role

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist supports oncology patients with lymphoma and multiple myeloma across inpatient and outpatient settings at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role rotates through inpatient service, outpatient lymphoma clinic, and outpatient myeloma clinic, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds, lead chemotherapy decision‑making and verify Beacon orders.
• Prepare and validate complex chemotherapy regimens, coordinate planned admissions, and provide patient education.
• Manage discharge and consult services, ensuring safe transitions between inpatient, outpatient, and specialty pharmacy teams.
• Precept learners, conduct research, and contribute to the oncology pharmacy team.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligibility for reciprocation within 90 days.
• Completion of a PGY‑2 residency or PGY‑1 residency plus two years of clinical specialist experience, or four years of equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS or PALS certification as required.

Required skills

• Expertise in chemotherapy regimen preparation and verification.
• Proficiency in pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and drug information provision.
• Ability to educate pharmacists, technicians, students, and other healthcare professionals.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 30 lb, and use standard pharmacy equipment.
