Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Epilepsy Ambulatory

About the role

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist – Epilepsy Ambulatory will be embedded within specialty neurology clinics at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. The role focuses on longitudinal outpatient care, therapeutic drug monitoring, and evidence‑based optimization of anti‑seizure medication regimens.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care for complex epilepsy patients through in‑person and virtual visits.
• Collaborate with neurologists, epileptologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and clinic staff.
• Perform medication safety activities, patient and caregiver education, and shared decision‑making.
• Contribute to research, quality‑improvement initiatives, and learner education.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (or eligible within 90 days).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of a PGY2 residency or fellowship, OR PGY1 residency plus two years of relevant experience, OR four years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacotherapeutic optimization.
• Medication safety and patient education.

What we offer

• Sign‑on bonus of $10,000–$15,000.
