Pharmacy Associate

About the role

Mixlab, a fast‑growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Associate to join its Los Angeles location. You will support daily pharmacy operations, ensuring a reliable, high‑quality service for veterinarians and pet owners.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and restock lab and hood stations with ingredients and equipment.
• Clean, wash, and organize used equipment and ingredient containers.
• Review and remove expired medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Document inventory intake, maintain stock levels, and ensure compliance with USP 795 and USP 800 cleaning guidelines.
• Perform routine cleaning of floors, hoods, and work areas; record daily and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Assist with moving and maintaining lab equipment.
• Sort and file records, create and pack delivery boxes as needed.
• Adhere to pharmacy procedures, policies, health, and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to new processes.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and resourcefulness.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for pets and their owners.
• Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Knowledge of USP 795 guidelines.
• Knowledge of USP 800 guidelines.
