Pharmacist – UHealth SoLé Mia

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Pharmacy Department at the new SoLé Mia campus is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves compounding, dispensing, and ensuring safe medication practices for patients in North Miami and surrounding communities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
• Compound and dispense medications prescribed by physicians and dentists, accurately calculating dosages and measuring ingredients.
• Assess medication identity, strength, and purity; review prescriptions for accuracy and suitability.
• Provide drug information on interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage to patients and healthcare providers.
• Analyze prescription trends to monitor compliance and prevent inappropriate use.
• Maintain pharmacy records, inventory, and controlled substance registries.
• Advise customers on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies.
• Adhere to university policies and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree.
• Current pharmacy licensure and relevant specialty certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in critical decisions.
