About the role
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CCHCS) is hiring two Pharmacist I professionals to work in the Central Fill Pharmacy serving both inpatient and outpatient populations. This permanent, full‑time position is based on‑site in Sacramento County and reports to the Pharmacy Services leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Perform pharmacy duties related to clinical use of medication packaging and dispensing of drugs for inpatient and outpatient use.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with department staff, other governmental agencies, health‑care partners, and community stakeholders.
Required profile
- Possession of the Minimum Qualifications (MQ) for a Pharmacist I as defined in the class specification, verified prior to interview.
- Successful completion of background investigation, Live Scan fingerprinting, and tuberculosis testing before appointment.
