People Partner – Engineering

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a senior People Partner to support its Product and Core Technology (Engineering) teams in the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle. The role will be a key member of the People Partner team, collaborating with Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting and other specialist groups while coaching senior technical leaders and managers. You will help shape HR policies and strategies tailored to the unique needs of engineering and product functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior technical leaders and executives across Product and Engineering.
• Provide HR lifecycle support to employees and managers in partnership with Benefits, Compensation, Performance, and other People team experts.
• Partner with management to foster a high‑performance culture aligned with Anthropic’s values and handle performance and employee‑relations issues.
• Collaborate with specialist teams, leadership, and finance to implement scalable programs that attract, retain, and develop talent.
• Lead cross‑functional HR projects such as manager training and organizational design initiatives.
• Support career development frameworks and progression paths specific to technical roles.

Required profile

• Experience operating in a fast‑growing tech company with knowledge of North American employment law and best practices.
• Background working with product and engineering teams and understanding their unique dynamics.
• Minimum 6+ years in HRBP, People Operations, Employee Relations, Recruiting, or related functions (preferred).
• Specific experience supporting Product, Engineering, or Infrastructure teams (preferred).
