People Operations & Systems Specialist (Madison, NJ)

About the role

The People Operations Specialist will support the People Operations function by administering HR systems, managing workforce data, and driving process automation. Based in Madison, NJ, this role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and deliver high‑quality HR services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and implement automation opportunities across People Services and HRIS, including AI agents within Oracle HCM.
• Monitor Oracle quarterly releases, assess business impacts, and lead testing for People Services.
• Maintain core Oracle HCM configuration such as locations, departments, job codes, and HSDL processing.
• Manage contingent worker and contractor records, conduct regular position audits, and ensure compliance with labor‑law poster requirements.
• Process payroll‑related transactions, manual checks, and state‑required documentation.
• Collaborate with People Operations, Payroll, Finance, and business partners to support accurate workforce operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, HRIS, Payroll, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with discretion handling confidential information.

Required skills

• Oracle HCM administration and configuration.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools used in HR operations.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (Oracle HCM preferred).
