People Operations Specialist

About the role

This hands‑on People Operations Specialist role keeps the day‑to‑day people engine running smoothly while proactively improving processes. You will support employees, managers and leadership across the full employee lifecycle in a fast‑growing, founder‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute seamless onboarding and off‑boarding processes and maintain audit‑ready employee records.
• Serve as the first point of contact for HR questions, providing clear answers or routing issues.
• Support and maintain HRIS and people tools, tracking headcount, turnover and onboarding status.
• Coordinate interview scheduling, draft offer letters and ensure new hires are productive on day one.
• Assist with performance review cycles, culture initiatives and identify process gaps for improvement.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in HR, people operations or a related operations role.
• Experience with an ATS (preferably Ashby) and an employee management system (preferably Rippling).
• Knowledge of state‑level labor requirements and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Background in a startup or high‑growth environment.
